Re: OOT, What is your life situation?

Working in internet marketing, put in my resignation a few weeks back and friday is my last day. I have no idea where I'll be going next, but I wasn't happy where I was because it was a tiny company with no room for growth. Also casually playing 25nl/50nl and improving quickly. No family or GF, but happily single living in DC. I'd rate my happiness right now at around a 3/10, mostly because of the stress from trying to decide on a new career. That, and my car was just totaled, so I have that to deal with as well. If anyone has job suggestions, particularly along the lines of business development/project management/marketing, I'd love to hear them. |

Re: OOT, What is your life situation?
Age: 25
Occupation: My official title is Academic Specialist, but I'm basically just a paper-pusher. Family: GF that will probably become fiancee/wife in the next year. Happiness: Pretty much. Sometimes it gets lonely, but I'm a bit of an introvert so I deal. I want more from life, but I think I'm taking positive steps to attain it, so that keeps me satisfied. |

Re: OOT, What is your life situation?
-Age
23 -Occupation Engineer for Coca-Cola -Family? (GF/Wife . . kids) Engaged... closing on our first house in 6 days! -Would you say you're happy with where you are? I'm extremely happy right now. However, I can relate to the anxiety around getting a full time job and the feeling that it consumes/defines your life. I've been out of school for 2.5 years, and the first year of working was really tough for me. It's very hard to get used to having drastically less free and flexibility in your life. In that regard, I envy all the successful poker players out there. I do love my job now and my relationship, friends, and social circle are all absolutely perfect and pretty damn amazing. I really couldn't ask for more. |

Law Student Live with GF I have plenty of job offers and am trying to decide if I want to live in NYC or Boston for next summer and then after graduation. Things are going great with the girlfriend. Everyone in my family is healthy, I'm in the best shape of my life. My brothers whom I battled with for years are now actually my friends. My dream is to be one of those reader's digest lawyer stories. Work at a big firm for a while, pay off my loans, save up a good nestegg, then leave to start a cookie company or doggie day care or something.. |

It's very hard to get used to having drastically less free and flexibility in your life. [/ QUOTE ] wow, my experience was the exact opposite. in college I was always working and had a bunch of stuff to do, and never felt like I had any time. when I started working full time, having no constant obligations (outside normal work hours) felt great. |
