I might call river especially after your weak ass lead.

Usually more on flop, push turn though.

Yes i guess in a 3 bet pot that should be the line could not see him with a 9 but in this hand after playing with villian for quite a while i was pretty sure i was looking AA/KK with pre-flop action and the way he paused before just calling. Should probably still just have gone with it due to SPR.

Yes i kind of butchered the hand, but the idea behind the weak lead is to rep AK that just hit and decide based on his actions what to do. i.e. if he raises as he did i am probably beat.

Doesn't this kind of player 4bet AA/KK pf?

You definitely have to bet this turn, and also call a shove.

From past experience this type of player has started to Slow play AA/KK in exactly this type of situation where a 4 bet is transparent but just calling with the view to getting maximum value heads up for their hand.

This is a really bad assumption. For a lot of TAGs these days smooth calling the 3-bet w/ AA/KK in position is the standard line. Some should and some shouldn't, but it's definitely common.

This hand was butchered, though. You should be happy to stack off on that flop and c-bet bigger, IMO. Even if his 3-bet calling range is tight, it's going to consist of TT+ and AK, which means you're ahead. Add to that the consideration that this is button v blind and you really can't get all iffy about whether to commit here.

At any rate, when the turn is checked through YHIG a lot. Check/call would be my line. Betting without a plan should you face a shove is gross.

BTW, hero's image in these 3-bet pots is almost as important as villains in most cases.
