OP - this is not weird / awkward at all as long as the girl knows about the setup. Standard matchmaking, and parents get involved in alot of cultures. Go for it. -Al

JESUS PEOPLE! This thread is putting me on serious lifetilt reading these responses!
The girls MOTHER gave the op's FATHER the girls phone number, it wasn't the girl's father who gave up the number. "Basically my father's aquintance gave him (op's father) her (daughter's mother) daughters phone number for me to call her along with a picture."
