Default A couple of hands that have been bothering me... .25/.50

Hand 1: Reads: Villain is playing like 38/9 so is playing a lot of hands. No real reads or history. My thinking on betting the turn is that I wanted to charge a draw but stack sizes were really awkward. Checking seemed wierd cause he prob didn't have hearts, but I don't know.

Final Pot: $68.05

Hand 2) Villain is playing 18/11 no real reads or history. I really don't like raising this flop and I don't know why but I cant see leading turn as he really cant put me on an A. Should I c/c river or in this case c/f. C/f seemed weak because he can obv be raising with straight.

Hand 3)Player is shorty. Seems pretty standard, but can I find a turn fold. Should this be any EASY turn fold?

Hand 4) This hand was weird. PF min raise I think had to be called. Flop I felt like leading for information. I think c/c seems wierd, but I don't know.

Final Pot: $25
Hand 5) Villain was 25/18 or something like that and had been raising my BB frequently. I suppose a preflop RR would have been better? Flop is pretty bad, but I wanted to try and rep a J and take it away on the turn as I hadn't played back yet. Is the turn a check? Seemed like I kind of had to bet.

I think you'd get a better response if you post one at a time.

Hand 1 is an instacall as youre getting 2-1.

Hand 3 is close but i would find a fold on the turn.

Hand 5 is bad preflop, raise or fold.

yep.. if he's stealing with a wide range, a 3 bet preflop is much better as it gives your opponent a chance to fold, a chance to call to see a flop, and a chance to 4bet to really define his hand. You have very little fold equity on the flop since you didn't 3bet flop.

I feel like the lead in hand 4 is pointless. His min 3-bet pf signifies a strong hand, especially since you are utg ie 1010+ and AK. If you lead, it is much less likely you get value from the hands you beat, but will get raised by the ones you dont. C/C flop, probably fold turn to further aggression unless you improve.

In hand 4 the PFR folded and the other person RR. I think this is obv fold, but I like c/c flop/ fold turn unimproved better.

I'll look at these hands one at a time.

Hand Two:

Let's just assume you are never winning the entire pot - he either has a split or boat.

Your share of the split is about $15 and you are risking $10.

He would have to have a boat >60% of the time to fold.

If he had two pair/set on the flop I could see a CR.

I call and expect to split around 55%.

Hand one:

You need about 35% equity (with rake)

Even if he had A7 your flush draw alone gives you about 32% equity.

He can have a lesser two pair, a combo that picked up a draw on the turn, etc.

I call here.

Note: If I just had AsKs and turned a pair I would hate to bet and get raised.
If I have AsKs I prob have to let it go on this turn.

Hand 3:

You need about 27% equity.

You are 27% against the following:

99+,66,KhQh,QJs,T8s,87s,KhTc,KhTd,KsTh,QJo,T9o.

I don't see him having many more hands than this.

Honestly, I think this is EV neutral and it could go either way.

Don't think it really matters if you fold or call.

Add/subtract one/two hands from the range and it swings slightly.

Hand Four:

Don't really like the donk bet. That flop is about as dry as they come.
I would CC a CB and maybe CC or lead turn.

As played, SB overcalls a min 3b. This is either a PP or monster, maybe AK.

I hollywood it but am not thinking about calling here with KQ. You are playing for stacks if you call.

Hand 5:

I think hand is played fine.

I would be prepared to fire any card 8 or higher.
We pick up a draw so we want to build a pot in case we hit, fold small pockets or random sb trash.

Seeing that he raised makes me sorry we bet, but we couldn't have known that before hand.

Folding is the play now.
