Default Anyone else socially retarted?

Just wondering if anyone else out there was finding college life to be not what you expected.
I'm in my fourth year doing computer science and in that time I have only really made 2 freinds in class. I've never lived on campus and find that on weekends I usually just end up hanging out with my old freinds from highschool.
We are starting to grow apart and I want to make some new freinds, I just dont know how. Anyone else been in a similar situation?

This is nowhere near enough information, but from the sounds of it, you're probably an introvert (not a bad thing, necessarily) and you just haven't tried hard enough.

Are you going to school in or near your hometown?

Are you actively, you know, talking to people in your classes or between?

Why did you never live on campus? Were you living at home? That'll put a huge damper on things.

I've never been in your situation, but I went to school 4 hours away from home for the first year and lived on campus for 2 years. It works amazingly well to help develop social skills.

Sounds almost too late for you at this point, but you should join a club or group of some sort.

How harsh. I feel the burn. I will return to my frat castle and await the weekend where there are parties with 500 girls and 100 guys.

I don't think I would make many friends being a C/S commuter, either - lol. I took a couple computing courses and I didn't share many similarities with the other students. I made most of my friends and met new people through living on campus and classes in other fields.
