Default question about internet anti gamling law

I was wondering if anyone know the dates and to when the voting is going to be?

(1) when is the vote in the house?
(2) when is the vote in the senate?

It came out of comittee in the house on the 15th. It now needs to be schedueled for debate and a vote on the house floor. No one seems to know when it will be schedueled.

I don't even know if there is a senate bill yet. If there is a bill it is still in comittee.

Open your phone book and get the phone numbers for your reps and call them. Every office I talk to here in Arizona claims that I'm the first one that they've heard from. And every Reps staffer I've spoken with either supports the bill or is undecided. It sounds to me like there may be support for this thing, it's important that we speak up.

Default IF YOU HAVE questions about internet anti gaming law

...I would say that your questions would best be answered in the Legislation forum. I didn't even realize it existed until a couple months ago. I'm certain that this would be your best source.

FWIW, this is the letter I sent...maybe it will be food for thought for others.

which bill are you thinking about?

The big goodlate bill is still in commitee. There was a seperate bill dealing with funding that passed through the house finance commitee this week and is scheduled to be heard in the full house in June

Isn't Kyl's bill for the Senate?

I faxed Kyl, McShame, and Jeff Flake yesterday.

We're poker players so, of course, we're worried about the anti-gambling bill.

The rest of the world can play poker online, maybe soon we won't be able to. The rest of the civilized world has done away with the death penalty, we're frying them in record numbers. Abortion is no longer an issue anywhere else, suddenly it's a big issue here.

The anti-gaming bill is only a small part of the complete disintegration of all our rights. As long as Americans are OK with a president that was never elected and as long as they don't mind the slaughter perpetrated against a defenseless country, the anti-gaming bill is small potatoes.

We can't cry foul now if we didn't cry foul when it really mattered.

I am in the UK so not a problem for me but...

Even if they pass a bill banning internet gaming, how is anyone going to know what you do online at home anyway?

Well it appears to me that many Americans are NOT OK with the president but have recognized that he was elected, twice.

I find your point about this bill being small potatoes to our society at large perfectly valid, but your political rant misplaced and useless.
