Re: KQo to a raise
[ QUOTE ]
I really phrased that badly. Namely I was talking about utz' post where he claimed it to be 1.05:1... Its a lot worse than that. KQs looks pretty bad, too. Really 3balling it here, sharpie? [/ QUOTE ] I was agreeing with the statement made, by the poster I responded to, that KQo wasn't a good hand to steal/raise with v. UTG in the UTG+1 seat. I said, but not in the same words, that KQo v. UTG's complete raising range, was only a slight dog, getting 1.35:1 on his money, however, there were 4 players left to act and that there has to be a better situation in which to try and isolate. |

[/ QUOTE ] I feel like this is my mantra every time one of thee arguments comes up and devolves into "Stove says..." KQs plays significant;y better postflop. Postflop is where you make your mobnies. Fin. I mean stoving is fine and all, but it only gives you a first pass - obviously something with 40% eq should be instamucked whereas 60% should be three-jacked, but anything closer you actually have to think about much more than hot and cold equity. |
