LOL, at least I'm not THAT negative about the thread ... I gave him the benefit of the doubt that he was really complaining about something in poker.

Phils antics at the table are pretty lame but Dutch Boyd is a complete [censored] and deserves to die in a fire.

Is there a single person in American society as self-absorbed as Phil Hellmuth?

[/ QUOTE ]

I'd start with people self-absorbed enough to think that NVG is their own blog.

I concur w/ OP. IMHO -- Poker offers a great stage for reflecting one's true character. ( I've heard playing a round of golf with someone does the same thing.... )

But being able to take a bad beat with class, dishing
out a bad beat with class, sitting there being bored
to death waiting for cards with class, not cheating,
not playing 'angles' ( "i have a $5,000 chip here." ),
etc...

I always thought that these things were some of the
lessons we could learn from playing poker.

Supposed to be gentlemen's game. Oy.....

I'd love to see someone do a mock-Johnny Hughes thread.

My uncle, Rowdy Pat O'Dowdy, was an early wrestler, one of the bad guys.
