JJ in first level of $60 SNG
I never usually minraise, but for some reason I decided to on the flop. How do I play the turn and how should I have played the flop.

Re: JJ in first level of $60 SNG
I re-raise pre to 200. On flop I raise to 400. As played bet turn, you're ahead.

Agree, raise the preflop there. You're almost always ahead and being in position is great for a hand such as JJ. Raise the flop more than a minraise..minraises suck. Bet out 500 on the turn to try and scare him off AK, AQ slowplay is the only hand I'm worried about here, but I doubt he has it.

Re: JJ in first level of $60 SNG
you can reraise pre, either way as long as youre not only doing one or the other. as played make it 400 or 450 on the flop. as played to the turn get it in.

Bet out 500 on the turn to try and scare him off AK, AQ [/ QUOTE ] villain is never folding AQ/KQ here. you get a fold from AK, that's it Betting turn sucks-- turns our hand into a bluff. Just raise more on the flop or 3pop pre. |

Re: JJ in first level of $60 SNG
Def. reraise pre, your in position and his little raise looks really weak. Again raise on the flop to 450 or 500 and push him off AK-A9. As played, you've put half your stack in there already, almost noway you fold, call the shove

Re: JJ in first level of $60 SNG
I 3bet pre to like 200 and commmit on the flop like this.
As played, I raised to 400-500 and call shove on the flop. |

Re: JJ in first level of $60 SNG
I personally like the smooth call preflop. On the flop I would certainly raise a bit more. Maybe bump it to 450 or so. On the turn I would make a large bet, and most likely be committed to call a push.
