NL 50: Can I fold in this spot?
Villian was pretty solid, I folded since I put him on QQ+ here, with AA being most likely. Having JJ or worse he certainly would have either called or folded to my reraise.
What do you think. Re: NL 50: Can I fold in this spot?
Hm, i dont think i could lay this down.
He might be three betting you with AK, KK, QQ, JJ. Sometimes even with weaker hands. Did you guys have anysort of history, what where his stats? I think i shove here about 95% of the time and feel good about it. Even if he has AA youre 20% to win ;-) Anyone strongly disagree? |

Unless you've been 3 betting fairly often I think this is a good laydown, although I'd like more info on villian. |

I can see the fold here. He has AA often, and what do you intend to do postflop? You could lose a lot of money finding out he has the aces.

Re: NL 50: Can I fold in this spot?
I can't see a fold PF unless villain is a rock.
I would at least call and re-evaluate on the flop. If you have an overpair, bet/call and if villain continues with his aggression you can safely fold. If an Ace flops your decision is also very easy. And if you flop a King, you stack villain. I put villain on a range of AK, QQ+ without any more info. Against this range KK is a 57% favorite. Even if he is tighter and has a range of QQ+ as OP assumed, we are even money. As a bonus we are playing this pot in position. No way I'm folding this. |

Re: NL 50: Can I fold in this spot?
200 bb, you can 3-bet and 4-bet a LOT profitably. Look at the HSNL players, in headsup play they 3-4 bet everything.
That being said, if the player's aren't that good, then it feels fine to fold. As is, what did you anticipate when you 3-bet? Did you not consider a reraise from the intial PF raiser? And finally, with stacks so deep, if you called and spiked a K, could you stack him? difficult to say |

Re: NL 50: Can I fold in this spot?
Surely calling is better than pushing here. He will (without reads of him being an idiot) never call when you're ahead.
I also like calling better than folding, you may spike a K vs his AA, or may be best as it is. Even if he has AA only, you're deep enough to call for a set, assuming he stacks off most times |
