Damned if you bet, Damned if you donīt
Villain is 27/18/3 over 277 hands.Iīm usually good at taking notes but have no notes on him which should mean he plays pretty straight forward.
He should regard me as a player that folds much postflop but also a player capable of check raising flop with air/bottom pair and a player who makes thin value bets. Bet/folding river is out of the question. But which line do you prefer bet/call or check/call? Is it even close? Poker Room skin Limit Holdem Ring game Limit: $3/$6 5 players Converter Pre-flop: (5 players) Hero is CO with UTG folds, Hero raises, Button 3-bets, SB calls, BB folds, Hero calls. Re: Damned if you bet, Damned if you donīt
Which Ax hand do you think is in his range?
I mean he shouldnt be peeling the turn with random Ax. He could have had Adxd but then the Ad drops He could be peeling A5 and A3 but those would be loose 3-bets preflop Cliff notes: His range is prolly lower pp's who wants to see a SD. Bet if you think they will call more than bet and check if not. |

Re: Damned if you bet, Damned if you donīt
I would bet and call a raise. Like oink says he shouldn't have many aces in his range, but neither should you. It would not be smart for him to bluff the river if you check, so you should bet and hope he is getting stubborn with his underpair.

Re: Damned if you bet, Damned if you donīt
nothing to add.
If u say he plays straight forward he will NEVER EVER have an ace. Bet/call is great, he will never bluff like tryptamean said if u check |

B/c. Can't b/f in case he bluff-raises, obviously. If he does bluff-raise, make a note of it.

Re: Damned if you bet, Damned if you donīt
Is our hand too strong to WA/WB? At first I thought it was a pretty easy WA/WB but then I looked on PokerStove and our equity is at ~75%.
As played I would bet since like others have stated an A doesnt make sense. |

[/ QUOTE ] Is it really that easy?Do you fold AQ,AJ on flop?If not your decision is not that easy on turn because if I CR flop with air/Ax hand/Pair not K hand I always bet turn again because most players are trigger happy with top pair and 3-bet flop if they have a K. I think he levels with me and understands this so an Ax hand canīt be ruled out. |

Do you fold AQ,AJ on flop? [/ QUOTE ] I do on the turn [ QUOTE ] if I CR flop with air/Ax [/ QUOTE ] If there is some dynamics between you two where you do this you should really put it in the OP if you want posters to take it under consideration |
