Holliday said he got stepped on. Barrett's foot gave way after he tried to block off Holliday's hand. So it's possible he got his hand in, but it sure looked like he didn't. The on-deck batter's look makes me think he felt Holliday didn't touch home, but maybe that was just a reaction to there being no call by the umpire.

To me Holliday's reaction was that he didn't touch either. He looked kind of upset and for some reason I thought that he thought he was out. I can't trust the catchers reaction because he didnt hear a call and just kept going.

no call by the umpire AND you just never know if he was given credit for touching it or not.

FWIW - Joe Simpson was going on about the slowness of the ump's call and that he didn't understand why.
I think the ump was waiting to see if Barrett had hung onto the ball. Ump believed the tag was applied before he touched home and may have ruled him out until he saw the ball rolling away.

On the slide itself: probably didn't touch the plate. But it's not impossible he barely got part of it. I don't think he did though.

... who the [censored] cares?

seriously, if padres fans are going to cry foul about this call, please remember that you guys blew 3 chances to lock this [censored] up, rockies won 14 out of the last 15 to even have a chance at this game, padres ace gave up 6 (SIX!) runs, they came back from an 8-6 deficit against a HOF reliever (albiet, he chokes a lot), and last but not least.. EVEN IF HE IS OUT, THERE IS 2 OUTS AND A GUY ON SECOND IN A TIE GAME.

So, no, this did not cost you the game. Quit crying.

Seriously, this is like Red Sox fans cursing Buckner's name until 2004.

I'm neither a Padres nor Rockies fan, just wanted to know how others saw the play.

I don't like either though I had money on the Rockies. I saw it as about 99% he didn't.
