This is fine. I'd usually bet the flop or atleast check/raise bigger.

leading flop here is better ,no point giving free cards to gut-shots.

I think you need to make a significant flop bet or C/R

river play is good, people expect to split so they call big bets with the straight

Good advice.. However villan shows KK for the better FH on the river...
So, how much more on the flop do I need to push to make him lay that down?
Or, am I sunk?

he probably isnt laying KK down regardless so I wouldnt worry about it

WTF. Why would you want KK to laydown on that flop?

Agree with the consensus here, bet more on the flop, but really its just one of those hands. He's not going to fold whatever you do. You want action from KK here because most of the time you are way ahead.
