Default 50NL KK

Really not sure about my line here... villain is 24/15/3 over 170 hands. Do you bet turn? As played do you call the river bet?

LeggoPoker Hand History Converter

Hero (BB): $50.55
UTG: $52.90
CO: $13.05
BTN: $20.80
SB: $54.15

Pre-Flop: K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] dealt to Hero (BB)
UTG folds, CO calls $0.50, BTN folds, SB calls $0.25, Hero raises to $2.50, CO folds, SB calls $2

Flop: ($5.50) Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players)
SB checks, Hero bets $4.50, SB calls $4.50

Turn: ($14.50) 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players)

The only reason to check turn is to induce a bluff, so if you check turn, it is because you want villain to bet so you can call a river bet.

why wouldn't you bet turn?
he could be doing this with AK, AQ, AJ, QJ, 77, JJ+ and possibly even some weird hands like 9T (doubtful though). I think QQ/AA and often AK are reraising you PF though, so probably just AK/AQ/AJ/QJ/JJ and you're destroying AK/AQ/AJ right now.

By not betting the turn you're letting a lot of draws in cheap. He's also fairly agressive (aggro factor 3) so I think he's not slow playing sets/two pair often. The more I think about it, the more it looks like AK/AQ/AJ, but someone can correct me if I'm wrong

More often in this spot I am betting turn and checking behind river. Checking turn to induce bluff on the river works fine also if you think villain would lead river if you bet turn. As played easy call.

I would also raise a little more pre-flop with this hand. Just to charge the CO raiser a little more to play this pot in position against you. Also, it never hurts to get as much money in PF with your hand.

I think you played this well. Against a 24/15/3 i don't think you're getting much balue on the turn. I think draws aren't much of his range on the turn (9T already got there) and i think you only really get value out of KQ. You will also get C/R here on the turn and that's no good with a single pair hand. Call river for sure

I meant to raise more pf, just a misclick I guess.

Also, I checked this turn because T9 just got there and he could very likely bluff raise me out of the pot. Also, I was thinking he might have something like AQ/AJ and wouldn't pay off 3 streets. In hindsight though I think I should have bet turn as I don't want to get drawn out on and I think he still calls with stuff I beat. I think bet turn/check behind river is a better line.
