Default LC: exploiting a strange pf strategy HU

Just finished a $12 6-max turbo on FT (Payout 65/35). Entered HU with a big chip lead, about 7300 to 1700 with blinds at 100/200.

Villian minraised EVERY TIME out of the sb. He doubled through to bring things pretty close to even, and continued the minraising. Two questions:

1. How would you best exploit this?

2. Anybody seen this tactic before?

Just curious, he folded fairly often to reraises and shoves.

shove anything and a bit more that you'd call an atc push with.

I love these guys, but I play strange HU. I limp every pot and call any reasonable raise with about 80%, minraises with 100% and LrrAI with 15%ish.

I auto-pot the majority of flops (and make sure they realise this). At the level I'm playing it puts villains off balance and they can get quite easy to read (and stack) by the way they try to adjust.

We're usually a lot deeper at the start of HU though. If he's <10BB, push back a lot I guess. If they really suck post flop I go to push-fold only when I really have to. Sometimes they donk their entire stacks off just c/f'ing flops - which is nice.

play as if you're the small blind. on every hand.

essentially, your opponent is posting the large blind every hand. this has got to be a rediculously huge advantage for you.

That's a great point. He's exploiting himself - thread answered.

As he's effectively just kicking us up a blind level half the time, should we also go into push-fold mode at around 20BB effective stacks (on our BB only), given the size of the pots post flop? That is, push over his minraises with normal SAGE type values at 20BB?

I decided to do some calculations. The interesting thing about this situation is that the way villain is playing will allow you to play absolutely unexploitably.

What I mean is, you can shove ATC every time and regardless of his calling range it is +$EV.

I don't really know what this means, but to use my own words, if your opponent is minraising you 100% of the time, then when you are minraised, act as if they are the new blinds.

ie, it is 100/200. you post the 200 big blind.

villain minraises to 400.

play this just the same as if you had posted a 200 small blind and villain had posted a 400 big blind.
