I value shove this. That river isn't really that scary, because there's not really many hands that he should be calling preflop/flop/turn with that contain an 8 or a 3, and the flush was backdoor so it's not really a concern. I think that in BVB with he'll call with Tx/JJ enough to make this profitable.

It's a blind battle, you have an overpair, he has less than half the pot left, you want his money and he's shown no agression. He hardly ever shows up with a flush/straight here. You're up against a JJ/AT type of hand here the majority of the time. Sometimes villain thinks they're being clever with AA/TT I guess but there's value to be had here for certain. Bet it.

Do you really think villain is going to call off the rest of his stack with something you beat? They usually have the ability to fold top pair on dangerous boards.

He's getting over 3:1, and just as you shouldn't expect his range has many 8s or 3s in it, he shouldn't think yours does either. Plus, people generally call down lighter in BVB. I admit that this is thin, but I think it's +EV.
