If you had 99 in this hand and you called villian down and he checked the river to you, would u bet?

Basically whilst you might have the best hand, ANY spade beats you, 2-A so betting might be best. All im saying is that when the PFR bets this flop and that turn but checks river I really love to bluff that spot and my betting range grows big. I would only check behind good hands with showdown value, but I am not calling a bet with nearly 50% of that range.

Villain is only betting his total bluffs and Ks here imo. He is not going to call a c/r often.

I think he calls with alot more hands that he got to the river with.

If you are betting 99 on that river, it would be a bluff vs. most sane villains I think.

The river completley changes this hand. For hero to bet this river he has be fairly confident that his bet is +EV. He is out of position and has been called down on a 3flush board. There are like 3 feesible hands (A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]X, K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]X, 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]) that villian can confidently value bet the river.

I mean from a hand reading point of view I think this is fairly basic, and villian should will not make thin calls very often. That said his bluffing range should increase massively given hero's line, and I think that is were the river value lies in this hand. (Maybe I am wrong in how little villians will call river with 8x, 89, TT no spade tho)

I prefer a fake blocker or like slightly less than 1/2 psb as opposed to this. He's more likely to bluff raise imo, plus this way you get value from worse spades that might've checked behind.

my goodness...villain is checking behind a HUGE portion of his range on the river. Just bet $55 or whatever and hope he looks you up or shoves with something ridiculous.
