What's your bbv4l self-censorship rate?

I was going to make a post about a Vietnamese deli that I used to go to closing down, but after I typed out the post I realized that it was a sucky post. I would say that 30-40% of the posts that I start to make in bbv4l end up not getting submitted because I censor myself a lot, both for appropriateness and for suckiness. What's your self-censorship rate?


I remember reading a post by tuq like a year ago where he said that half of what he starts to type he ends up not posting, so I know I'm not alone.

I usually just type what I want to and let the men in green deal with it.

My suppossed huge 5k+2 post suffered dearly because I had to make a whole new one. I had pictures and a cool story to add with the original OP as a bonus, but I had to get rid of it in its entirety, damn u Didz!!

lol, that's really weird.

For OPs it's like 2%, replies maybe 20%. With a lot of replies I start typing and realize that I'm just reiterating what someone already said and there's no point so I stop.

I hardly ever type out a post and fail to actually post it.

Most of the time I just self-censor in my brain before my fingers start a typin!

yeah for ops, my self censorship is very low because i think it out beforehand, but for replies i'm similar to goofyballer in that i'm often just repeating what someone else said, like right now.
