Default Did they CHANGE the chip colors for TV?

After watching last night's PLO tournament on ESPN, I'm confused about the chip color denominations. It was a big complaint during the tournaments because all of the bigger chips were an orange variation. However, on the broadcast last night, the 5k's were a purple/pink thing and the 25k's were a baby blue. Did they change them for the broadcast or did they actually change the chips at the table? It makes no sense.

There were different chip sets in play for different tournaments. I think six in total. I only got to play with two.

I guarantee they did not. It is certainly possible to digitally alter colors in post-production, but it's extremely expensive. NO WAY espn put up that kind of money to fix a marginal problem in post.

Yeah, Shane's right. Not sure if it was six different sets, but that seems about the right number from what I remember.

I guess they did it to help avoid swapping chips between events?

There were three chipsets:
One for the Hold'em events - the one with the orange variatons
One for the non - Hold'em events - The one you saw last episode
one for the 50K HORSE - this is a variation of the Hold'em chipset onley the higher chips were different (i believe 5K and up)

this is partially correct

there was a chipset for a noon events, these were the same chips used for the main event, as already mentioned there was a 2nd set of 5k+ chips for the horse events

there was a chipset for the 5pm events, all the colors were different, this set also included 5$ chips for the small buyin mixed/stud events

the other chipsets were the satelite/2nd chance chips and sng chips which have been used prior to this year
