Dual monitor - Syncmaster 204B and 930B - blur issue
I just got my new Syncmaster 204B today, and I love it. I am using a Raedon 9600 video card. However, here is the problem.
I moved my 930B over to the analog connector, and the 204B onto my dvi connector. The 204B is set to 1600x1200, and the 930 to 1280x1024. My 930, despite whatever resolution that it is on, is blurry. I have tried changing numerous settings: different resolutions, refresh rates, etc... Do I need a VGA to DVI adapter to solve this, or is there settings that I can change to rectify this? Let me know if you need any more information. Thanks. |

Re: Dual monitor - Syncmaster 204B and 930B - blur issue
As far as I know a VGA<->DVI converter won't make an analog (VGA) signal digital. It only works as a link, allowing you to connect a DVI port into a VGA port. They sell for about $4 at radio shack.
I have a similiar card (9600xt), and it has 1x DVI port + 1x VGA port. If both of your monitors are DVI, I'm fairly sure you're out of luck on getting them both hooked up to 2 "real" DVI ports, short of getting a video card that has 2x DVI ports, or maybe a 2nd cheap card with 1x DVI port (never tried this). If you're running the 930 at its native resolution and it's blurry you might want to try swapping the 204 and 230. Hook the 230 up to the DVI port, and see if the 204 handles the VGA connection better (less blur). |
