min raise leaves villain room to make a mistake.

It also leaves room for hero to make mistake on villain's push.

what mistake is that in comparison to just shoving it in on the flop?

Miniraise on this drawy board is crap imho. i like it if the board is dry. The real question is how much will he second barrel you with air or when scare hits. Since his 3betting raise is wide u don't even know which cards to dodge so i would just stick it in , if you are behind you most likely have 5 outs which isn't horrible at all.

so lucid, you are arguing that theres more value in raising to induce than there is folding equity against hansd like 8x/99/TT if we make a committing raise?

based on OPs read that he is extremely aggro, I....

1) am not going to give him credit for folding any hand that beats us only 100bb deep.

2) think an extremely aggro person won't be able to resist pushing here w/ AK/AQ/KQ at least some of the time.

plus we most likely always have 5 outs. i don't min raise in this spot 100% vs everyone but vs this type of player i think it's best in comparison to shoving. calling could be OK too.

Is he ever calling the minraising with say, GS+overs?

The other problem with minraising is that he will shove some FD+over combos which we are flopping against and would like to just fold out using a shove (although he will rarely fold them even if shoved upon).

Otherwise I like minraising to incite shoves from overcards... only question - what else are you minraising with?
