Default Getting Back into the Swing of Things (Semi OT)

So over the past few months I have moved to A.C. and pursued my poker dealing career and have been super busy. Now that I am finally going to start working and stuff my life is slowing down a bit and I might have a somewhat normal schedule. Have any of you guys been away from poker for a long time and what did you do to get back to playing the way you did when you were grinding out thousands of hands a month?

Here is my plan so far: Read and try and reply to the forum as much as possible. Read Pro No limit and NLTAP over again. 1 Table for a while until I am comfortable with my game again. Any other suggestions?

i would start at 2-4tables of FR (1 is almost pointless). Re-reading those books is a great idea. also, watch some vids, talk to ppl, and just think in general

also, make sure u get on a workout schedule if ur going to b grinding+dealing fulltime. self-preservation is one of the greatest things u can do for urself when u get to grinding

OT from your topic, but:

How does one get into poker dealing?

How much is starting level wage?

How quickly does this wage increase?

What are the hours like?

Read my blog...and about hourly wages it varies from room to room. Usually you will be a "temp" dealing tournaments before you get a solid job. Also hours vary as well. I dont start working until Dec maybe (auditioning for the WSOP Circut Event at Harrahs A.C.) I had my first audition at the Showboat last week for a cash dealing job. Hopefully when I start working I can answer the wage and hour questions better.
