Re: Stars $300 mid pair OOP
I dunno folding the the turn just seems so weak. I think when he fires again on the river I'd fold tho.

Re: Stars $300 mid pair OOP
I kind of get nightmares about the variations where we encourage him to bluff with 88-99-TT-JJ on the river and we call and lose....If we are calling shove anyway on the river would it be so terrible to just shove ourselves? Maybe we chase some of those best hand blkuffs away?
Beats me...I want to bet at some point though. sheets |

Re: Stars $300 mid pair OOP
I would check-fold the flop here since im OOP against an unknown who had raised from EP. I
If I called the flop, I'd def. bet the turn and fold to a raise. I think a C/R all in on the river as Nath suggested would be effective with deeper stacks but since a C/R AI here would basically be a minraise I think Villain calls with a ton of hands. He would probably fold 88 99 TT JJ but with his line it's so rarely any of those. |

Re: Stars $300 mid pair OOP
bear in mind I only think a CRAI will work if your villain is the type to think like "OMFG he CRAI so small there's no way this can be a bluff" and folds. anyway, i think the chances of that are more than 0%, which is close to what i think the chances of you winning the pot with a call are.

Re: Stars $300 mid pair OOP
I fold pf OOP from an EP raiser, if you miss a set you get put in crappy situations like this OOP. What are you beating on the river? You really think he's firing 3 barrels with AK/AJ? All other hands are ahead. I probably fold the turn but I could go either way. I'm definitely folding the river and I don't think you have any FE with a check/raise, this looks like nothing but strength from him.
