Default Possibly stupid question

Has anyone tried signing up to a site that doesn't allow American players by simply entering an address from another country? I can't imagine the sites would run IP checks or anything like that (because as long as their ass is covered, they'd be happy to accept the business).

I'm sure this has been asked before. I can't find anything though. Anyone have a solid answer for me?

Party does run IP checks. Not sure about the smaller sites.

This should probably go in the Zoo.

Ya, I wasn't really sure where to put it. Sorry. Mods feel free to move it.
