[/ QUOTE ] in the US it would be on network news for a day and the oriley factor for a week... oriley would draw parallels to teachers having sex with kids and 11 year olds getting birth control... and the christian right would have a fit leading to mass firings and lawsuits Is the british culture such that there is not outrage over this incident? do we have any OOT brits here who want to address how incidents like these are usually handled?

The teacher stepped in when she needed to and stopped it, but she would be unnecessarily fired in the U.S.
