Default 2 75/150 hands

i usually dont post hands cause i always forget them later on lol, but here are 2 hands that i rememered from today.

hand #1:

CO is pretty loose passivish. he likes to limp preflop but is fairly straightforward postflop. he wont reraise me on the turn with just a low even if the BB calls so i can muck fairly safely as ill usually be up against a boat. BB seems decent for these stakes but i dont know too much about him.

loosish passivish player openlimps in CO, i limp on button with Ac8c9hTs, SB completes, BB checks.

flop is 8d 7d 3c

checked to CO who bets (this is most likely a made low but could be many other things), I call (??), BB calls.

turn is 7s

CO bets, I raise (??), BB calls, CO calls

river is 8c

BB bets, CO calls, I raise (??)

hand #2

Villain is BB from hand #1. he seems decent for these stakes. fairly aggressive. thats about all i know.

he button raises, loose passive calls in SB, i defend in BB with K622 with a suited king.

flop is K78 all spades

checked to button who bets, sb folds, i call (??)

turn is another 7

button bets, i call (??)

river is another 7

what do i do?

Um, fold

Second hand you can bet out or try to induce a bluff. I'd try to get him to bluff into me and hope he doesnt have a pocket pair or 7.

I don't think overlimping on the button with a suited ace and some middle connecting cards is terrible. It's probably not a great EV play, maybe neutral. The flop seems standard, but once the board pairs on the turn and you're bet into in a 3 way pot, there's absolutely no reason to still be in there. You're dead for low, often dead for high and if not, have very very little equity. Easy easy fold

The second one, check/call river to induce a bluff. Your pair really has no value and the pot is big enough that you want to see showdown.

Hand 1 seems fine. Might just call the river since BB hasn't been leading the betting to this point; him suddenly coming alive doesn't feel good to me.

Hand 2 I think I check/call the river.

I'd fold both of these preflop if it's a full game.
Hand 1: Fold > Call > Raise, folding is sort of close to calling only because the pot is bigger from the turn raise that I don't like.
Hand 2: Check/call, maybe he'll bluff

hand #1: fold pf. flop call = bad. turn fold > raise > calling
hand #2: c/r flop. lead non-low turn or lead out on flop. As played, raise turn. check river. I call getting these odds.

Fold preflop both times, even shorthanded, IMO, especially if you aren't very experienced postflop.

Can someone explain how this is a preflop and postflop call in hand 1? I am more interested in postflop, as there is a low out there and a flush draw of which TStone has neither...

The second hand, you are likely behind, and could have few outs on the flop, and the pot is small. Can someon explain these?

Thanks,
Jason
