Maybe I have no sense of humor, or maybe you can enlighten me. I don't even get how this is a parody of David Blaine--it's more like lampooning magicians in general.

yeah maybe its cause they sucked at doing david blaine.

ive never seen david blaine, dont even know what he looks like (dont think we get the show down under), and i found this whole thing absolutely hilarious....

David Blaine is often mocked for being a "trickless magician" (to use Chris Rock's phrasing). He does elaborate stunts that appear to involve little actual magic. I expected a David Blaine parody to somehow explore this dynamic.
