hard to draw anything from a game 1 when the teams have had so much time off, but ottawa looks like they're going to have trouble generating offense on anaheim. can't rely on the power play too much.

I guess the Ducks did a pretty good job of scouting - I didn't recognize that Senators defense.

Outplayed game 1.

Ottawa couldnt muster up any consistant offence. This is what I feared.

The Pahlsson line destroyed the Sens #1 line. That whole 3rd period was fun to watch as a Ducks fan. They manhandled the Senators.

what about that one shift in the first, where they got like 5 great hits and tons of scoring opportunities? That's what great hockey is all about.

Ducks dominated pretty much the whole game. Unfortunately the scoreboard didn't reflect that. At least they squeezed out the win.

Yeah, great game start to finish. Really, the Ducks totally dominated 5 on 5 play. Their special teams weren't all that spectacular other than the 5 on 3 kill.

I don't even know if they are out yet. They just got in Saturday's today(which said the Indy 500's Rain Delay got the same ratings as game 3 Spurs-Jazz, just for those curious).

I do know that of the 22 hockey markets in the US only 4 cities have newspaper reporters there, New York, Philly, Minneapolis, and Denver(not including LA). Which is a sin because it was such a good game. We finally got VSHD in north Jersey so that made it better.

I think Selanne was on the ice for 30 seconds.
Also, LOL @ TEH ZEBRAS AND RYAN MILLER! Sabres probably lost because they had a girl in net. "I had tears rolling down my face because my brother was on the ice for a goal LIKE OMG!! He sooooooo deserves that."

Ottawa had a lot of trouble with the Ducks size/strength. If they don't get their legs back this will be yet another quick series.
