Default XMAS music already - UGH

Went to Costco today to get some tires. They had Christmas Holiday music on. Note, it is not only before Thanksgiving, it is before Halloween. Do we really need to listen to this for 3 months???? 5 weeks is more than enough to annoy the bejesus out of the jews and muslims, recovering catholics, etc.

I totally agree that the stores are pushing this Christmas thing to the point it is having the opposite effect on people. The only reason they do it is to try and squeeze more money by extending the season. It is making me and most everyone I know, totally SICK of Christmas and ruining it. We are dreading it more and more every year mostly due to the insane commercialism. Every year I do less and less (and BUY less and less). I hate going into stores that cram Christmas down our throats.

Costco started this two weeks ago. I go there every Sunday with my daughter and now I have to either avoid a whole section of the store or explain why we're not going to get a bunch of toys.

Happy Birthday Jesus!

I worked in retail for 9 years, and it has driven me to the point where I hate Christmas carols. I love Christmas, don't get me wrong - I love that one time in the year where the family gets together, you hit the golf course cause it's free with your friends and get hammered - all that. But I can't stand the capitalist, [censored] bastards who put Christmas trees up at the start of October and start playing Rudolph the [censored] red nosed reindeer. It's just wrong, and takes away from the spirit of the whole thing. [censored] the lot of them. 3-4 weeks is MORE than enough. December only, bitches.

I like being in law school because I don't even think of X-Mas until mid-December, and then its awesome for two weeks.

One of the best things about living in Israel was not having to deal with the massive buildup to Christmas. It aggravates me to no end that the season has been extended this far back. I have no problems with Christmas, go celebrate Jesus' birthday until you are blue in the face. But gross commercialism is the only reason to start advertising it now. If Christmas meant anything to me, I think it would piss me off even more.

They're selling fake christmas trees in Home Depot. I admit I was taken aback, but I didn't get my panties in a bunch like some of you seem to. There are plenty of other things I'd rather spend my time getting annoyed over.
