Superstandard. I dont hate leading the flop and shoving the turn either. With a read button will bet, or a read that he will fold to the flop bet, CRAI is good

This makes me feel much better about this play. Villain called and showed 99, and to my dismay caught on the river.

OH well, that's poker for ya.

Thanks again.

I CRAI but bet call isn't terrible. Make sure you bet enough that you can shove turn soooo basically what Scott said

I like the play.

Just for another take, if the OP had been the Button in this case (with 99), what would the comments be?

I'm thinking that if you are going to get all in with 99 regardless (as it appears he wanted to do), you might as well push pre-flop and get some fold equity. As played, I think you have to toss the 9's with two overcards. On the bubble, I think I'd lean toward calling, betting the flop as played, and folding to the all-in raise on this one. What do you all think?

Without a read, i do not like checking to a button limper.

To pull a CRAI u have to be sure that villian will cooperate and bet. If u have this read then the flop check is okay.
Readless on this board I am leading with the intention of getting the rest of my chips in ASAP.
