Default TPTK, do I have to put my whole stack at risk here?

Hi, My first hand here on SSNL. Its a smallish hand, but i'm often having trouble trying to both protect my hand and have almost committed myself if he shoves.
Effective stacks $100.

Pacific Poker
$0.5/$1 Blinds No Limit Hold'em
Seat 2 is the button
Total number of players : 6

** Dealing down cards **
Dealt to mdh40 [ Jc Ah ]

HERO raises UTG [$3].
4 folds
VILLAIN calls from BB[$2].
Pot $6.5
** Dealing Flop ** [ Jh, 3d, 2d ]

VILLAIN checks.
HERO bets [$5].
VILLAIN raises [$15].
HERO raises [$40].

Should I just call? Villain is 21/8/0.5 after 150 hands
