this guy has been raising alot, esp when people limp in. his steal in position is around 35%. everytime there is a limper up front he has raised. im suspecting he doing that again.

i cant see just calling here and playing for set value with a hand as strong as tens, and folding is out of the question.

I iso loads with position, but from the sb with two limpers I am still very tight in raising. I think an awful lot of people play similar to this also.

Calling and playing TT for set value??? Nooooo. Call and play for pair value aswell. We have position on the raiser also which is a big bonus.

i do call for pair value at times but i felt it was way weak to do with a hand like TT when hes been stealing lots of limps, and has been aggressive post flop.

seriously doubt he's raising light from the sb, unless he thinks you are a pushover.

its really early on at the table. maybe 20 hands. ive only raised twice, once where i folded to a 3 bet. folded my blinds to his raises thus far when the game was 6 handed and he was button raising my BB.

sounds like a perfect spot to call and call a couple bets postflop to me. once you 3-bet you're basically playing for set value or bluffing really.

thanks for the replies here. i folded obv, but i def think now after reading the responses that he must be really strong raising out of the SB. he just seemed really aggro at the time and i thought his range was pretty wide here.

villain in this hand is chip angler. im sure hes 2p2 and if anyone has alot of hands on him (i dont have many) let me know if your range would change here vs him. i only have like 40 hands on him.

rather I'd only 3bet something I was felting if he shoves

Yeah, I think you're better off calling here. By raising you force villain to push or fold, which is obv not what you wanted. I think villain pushes AQs+, QQ+, and typically you want a better hand to call. Unless you're playing for Shania.

If villain's at all good, this 3-bet is awful. His range preflop should be pretty tight and he'll play perfectly to the 3-bet.

Edit: I guess he'll fold AJ/AQ which isn't technically perfect.
