Probably. I mean, he's not doing it every time is he? Cause obviously I would exploit that. But in general, flop check/minraises are the bane of my existence.

the point is that he's an unknown. obviously if you knew that he was a c/minr bot his strategy would be very exploitable.

If this was a profitable strategy then everyone would be doing it.

edit - My usual lien is to call and re-evaluate unless I have no chance of improving or was raising light.

um, given the context of a poker strategy forum I think this statement is pretty ridiculous.

while I think that it might be profitable agianst many of us. I dont think your average SSNL donk is going to fold to a min raise ever even if he has air.

As a spin off of this ? how often do you think a min bet buy an opponent means they think your FOS?

It's no more ridiculous than this poll.

Open pushing any flop when you first sit at a table is profitable, but it's not the most +EV way to play.

Your question is how often is a min-raise a bluff or a weak hand. How often can you call it with air and take away the pot on the turn? Reads are nice. Most good players fold the first time a villain does something unorthodox until they figure out what it means.

The perfect example is the min-better. He leads $1 into a $15 pot. He either has a draw or a monster. A normal bet/raise tells you exactly what he has and allows you to play perfectly against him. Min-raisers are same way.
