Default PP 11$ / AJo / Level 4

Just double checking a line here.

Reads:

SB has played about at least 50% of the hands dealt to him. He's been quite active, frequently minbetting at pots. He has definately gotten lucky and doubled up a few times.

This is only the 2nd or 3rd time I've raised preflop in the whole game.

So the flop misses me, but I still might be ahead. I've got 25% of my chips in the pot, the pot is 700 and I've got 840 behind.

I would push this preflop if SB has been very aggressive.

push preflop

given that you didn't push preflop, the flop semi-bluff is fine by me. on that sort of flop, the first person to show aggression often wins it unless someone caught a piece of the board. and going all-in was your only move if you were going to bet given the size of the pot and the size of your stack.

I don't like pushing pf--I prefer your raise to 300.

On the flop I check behind. If he min bets the turn I probably minraise him, otherwise I bet out 250. If he calls and checks the river I check behind.

There isn't one, it's a push preflop and a very very easy one at that.

But the PF raise was 25% of my stack. If I min-reraise or lead for 250 that's ~30% of my stack.

It just seemed at the time with the pot sized as it was in relation to my stack I either go completely weak-tight or get it all in.

meech, i would never ever ever ever ever ever ever *gasp* ever ever ever take judogirl's line. which is why i'm so interested as to why she(?) would.

i guess she's trying to rep a king, but getting half your stack in by the turn with air so that you can check behind on the river is something i don't get at all.

i agree with tigerite and others, just ship it PF.

Yeah, I ran it through SNGPT after the fact. It's +0.5% even if he's calling with any 2. For some reason I tend to discount preflop pushing a wee bit when I'm > 10bb. I need to work on this -- situations like this I can't really maneuver too much post flop anyhow.

Default RESULTS

SB used up his timebank and called me with.....

AQo

and MHING

Obviously the GAP concept is something he was unfamiliar with because I think it's a terrible call on his part. From his perspective I think a repush PF would have been a much better line if he wanted to play.
