They\'re getting the band back together....
One of the best alt rock bands ever is back - The Verve.
Apparently, Nick McCabe found some decent medication and Richard Ashcroft is no longer an egotistical prick. New album in the fall and small tour to hopefully expand to a larger tour. They destroy Oasis and any alt rock band out there currently. Does anyone else here love the reverb rock gods.???

They were [censored] and only had 2 good songs. U need to get a grip on putting the verve on a pedestal.

From thread title I thought they were making a third Blues Brothers movie. Thank Christ that's not the case. Enough damage was done by BB2000.
The Verve reforming, OTOH, can only do so much damage to their legacy on account of never being that good in the first place.

[/ QUOTE ] I don't even know if I consider the verve to be alt rock, and even if they were, they're nowhere near the best. they were pretty darn good, though.
