Default The worst thing I\'ve ever seen a dealer do

And to me, no less. Well, at least I can't think of a worse thing off-hand.

The hand:

20-40 HE (at Casino Arizona). BB has the '1/2 kill' and posts $30. UTG, (who is one of the best dealers in the casino and a decent player) raises and I'm directly on his left and make it 3 bets w/ K-K. Folded around to the BB and he calls 2 cold. The dealer and the BB are both Asians and I guess they're friends because the dealer exclaims: 'WHAT? Are you crazy calling 2 raises from these guys? They are both good players!'

Whoa, omg. I try to keep a low profile and just said, as jokingly as I could, 'Lessons are on Tuesday.' I wanted the action, but, of course, the dealer was incredibly out of line. I didn't make a big scene there because I don't want the dealer (who I like) to get in big trouble, don't want the other players to even know that I think about these things and also that I plan on speaking to him in private and to the manager who runs the dealer meetings w/o naming the dealer.

I'm posting this as a bit of a rant, because it is an upsetting situation, but also to get other's opinions of how I might have handled the situation in a better way.

Really? I've seen all kinds of dealer mistakes, bad attitudes, watching the games on TV instead of paying attention to the game, pushing the pot to the wrong player and everything else under the Sun but telling a player that he's nuts to give action to 2 particular players? I can't think of anything worse than that.

If others have actually seen worse I'd love to hear it although I suppose if a dealer gets up out of the box and punches a player I guess that would be worse and has probably happened somewhere.

I've seen and heard of some bad stuff, but that's pretty sick. His boss would be bleeding from the ears by the time I got done.

7 stud, two players to the showdown.
The 6 seat shows 2 pair.
The 1 seat looks at his hole cards and
is about to muck when the dealer says,
"turn them up, you have a straight."

But your dealer was out of line also.

That's incredibly bad and is worse than mine at least to the extent it caused a player to lose. At least in my case it made me win more.

I saw a dealer muck a protected hand in seat 1 after the player went 4 bets on the turn. He won the previous 3 hands and stiffed all 3 hands. oooops.

Remember those threads from a while back where many players said they don't tip the dealers and they don't care what anybody says, what can happen? Well, THIS can happen. Like you said, oooops!

How is that worse than yours?????? The dealer in the above situation was just being a nice guy and letting the player know he had the best hand. I've seen situations like this many times at the table and it would be more unethical to take in the pot knowing that you had the worse hand. The situation you described is borderline collusion and is far worse. I would be very
