Re: play2kill bluffing or telling the truth to ansky?
Hasn't anyone ever heard of VPN software? He could play an account/PC from anywhere and the IP would be local, while he's on another continent playing his other account with its local IP.

Re: play2kill bluffing or telling the truth to ansky?
[ QUOTE ]
from 50/100nl chat they just had: play2kill: because ofc its likely that i played but theres no evidence, and she played from usa play2kill: i mean, how could it be me!? play2kill: so sick, cant believe they took her money Ansky451: well Ansky451: yeah its sick Ansky451: but u obv understand the suspision Ansky451: i have no idea what evidence they found so i cant comment on that play2kill: yepp ofc, but nothing points at that it was me except that i am her brother Ansky451: i see play2kill: ruthless handling by pokerstars Ansky451: so are you banned from stars now? play2kill: yeah [/ QUOTE ] This is 100% BULLSH!T. Mark Teltschers intial story was that Michael Thuritz was playing thv0id and he made the account in his sister's name in order to keep control of the money. Michael Thuritz is Tipex on stars. Tell me why one of the best online players is skipping this tournament? It isn't because he is broke or has something else to do. The reason Stars disqualified Teltscher was because the owner of the account did not play. Not because he multi-accounted. He was under STRONG suspicion of entering and playing other accounts, but that was not the reason for The V0id being disqualified. The most likely scenario is Michael Thuritz was staked by Teltscher and did nothing wrong. He is the big loser in this. In fact if what Mark Teltscher claimed originally is true he owes Michael thuritz $600k. |

1st tournament she ever enters in PokerStars is $2600. She manages to beat a field of top-notch pros although she's a novice poker player. I'd snapcall his bluff. [/ QUOTE ] From what I understand, this guy Chris Moneymaker played his first live $10,000 WSOP event and managed to beat a field of top-notch pros although he's a novice player |

Re: play2kill bluffing or telling the truth to ansky?
Then Thuritz would be making a big issue of this with Stars and in the blogs.
Teltscher would also be making a big issue of this if he didn't multiaccount and wouldn't have responded as he did in the chat. There are probably a lot more people who have multiaccounted than been caught. Stars doesn't want to disqualify the winner of their biggest tournament. I don't think Stars would take this action if they weren't sure. |

Re: play2kill bluffing or telling the truth to ansky?
[ QUOTE ]
But yeah, if they entered from 2 different IP's (Teltcher playing from UK, her sister playing from States) then PokerStars is lacking pretty much some huge evidence. They need logs from ISP in order to prove Teltcher was rerouting. [/ QUOTE ] this is untrue. the software has the ability to access the tcp stack and see where all traffic is coming/going. it can also do memory dumps of running processes and take 'snapshots' of the desktop. one reason why stars isnt going public with the diagnostics is the same reason ftp doesnt go public with their bot-hunter shiz; they dont want to educate the black hats and up the ante with regards to detection/mitigation. |
