Turn second nuts, overbet bluff river...
Villian seems to be solid TAG, nothing out of the ordinary, plays a pretty textbook exploitable strategy, but not bad. He is definitely on the more tight, predictable side. Guessing a marginal winner. No history with him so far.
2/4 NL $450ish effective stacks... Villian opens 4-handed on button, i call in BB with 10 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] FLOP ($30): K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] I lead for $25, he pauses and calls TURN ($80): A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] I check, he pauses and bets $60, i call after some thought RIVER ($200) Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] I shove for about $350ish Comments on all streets appreciated |

You think he will bluff this river or v/b with worse enough to check? Or you just in general don't like the idea of turning made hands into bluffs? |

J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] X
Another question... What does an overly tight TAG bet on the turn that calls an overbet shove on the river? |

Re: Turn second nuts, overbet bluff river...
yes, yes they are. you acquire no new information in between making the turn call and then shoving the river. if you think he has JhX, you shouldn't be calling the turn, and if you don't think he has JhX, you shouldn't be shoving the river.
logically inconsistent |
