25NL - AQo facing all in
No reads on villain, second hand at the table for me.
Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.10/$0.25 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter) SB: $18.45 Hero (BB): $25.00 UTG: $28.85 MP: $24.05 CO: $17.55 BTN: $16.75 Preflop: Hero is dealt A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (6 Players) UTG raises to $0.85, 2 folds, BTN calls $0.85, SB calls $0.75, Hero calls $0.60 Flop: ($3.40) 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (4 Players) SB checks, Hero bets $2.50, UTG folds, BTN raises all-in to $15.90, SB folds, Hero ??? Its $13.4 to call and to me it doesn't seem like a set or two pair would play like this, they'd try and get more value. I'm putting his range on any ace. Correct to call here? |

Re: 25NL - AQo facing all in
Villain could have AK (and be afraid of the flush draw), or have a flush draw himself with maybe a pair of eights (something like 9d8d) or two pair or a set. It's definitely not an instacall for me. If you say instacall, please explain WHY.

Re: 25NL - AQo facing all in
wait...I just realized how this hand played out.
Its still an instacall simply because he doesn't have a full stack and has a worse hand here more oftn than he has a better one. Anyways...I would rather fold AQ than see a flop 4 way. Must 3bet preflop. Donking this flop is a bad idea because of the flushdraw. Check raising this flop is optimal. |

Re: 25NL - AQo facing all in
Don't like pre-flop. Reraise or fold. Fold pre-flop is what I like best.
As played I immediately liked fold here, but thought it was pretty close so decided to check. And my immediate thought here was wrong. 1.6 to 1. And I don't think it's any worse than this and if it is it's only a little worse I think and it could easily be a good bit better: Text results appended to pokerstove.txt 50,490 games 0.005 secs 10,098,000 games/sec Board: 4d 8s Ad Dead: equity win tie pots won pots tied Hand 0: 38.626% 32.31% 06.32% 16312 3190.50 { AcQs } Hand 1: 61.374% 55.05% 06.32% 27797 3190.50 { 8c8d, 8c8h, 8d8h, 4c4h, 4c4s, 4h4s, AhKh, AsKs, AhQh, AhJh, AsJs, Ah8h, Ah4h, As4s, KdQd, KdJd, KdTd, QdJd, QdTd, JdTd, Td9d, 9d8d, 8d7d, 7d6d, 6d5d, 5d4d, AhKc, AhKd, AhKs, AsKc, AsKd, AsKh, AhQc, AhQd, AsQc, AsQd, AsQh, AhJc, AhJd, AhJs, AsJc, AsJd, AsJh, Ah8c, Ah8d, As8c, As8d, As8h, Ah4c, Ah4s, As4c, As4h } So it should be an instant call, but I wouldn't have instantly mashed call. Hopefully though I would have after a little thinking. |

Re: 25NL - AQo facing all in
AQ OOP in a multiway is a loser. Especially with no table reads, let it go without a thought.
A raise can be good with reads, but no point here. |

Re: 25NL - AQo facing all in
Please raise preflop. There is so much dead money in the pot.
I really hate putting all my money in on the flop like this, I mean our Equity isnt great. However I think our equity is better than suggested: equity win tie pots won pots tied Hand 0: 43.735% 40.45% 03.28% 8010 649.50 { AcQs } Hand 1: 56.265% 52.98% 03.28% 10491 649.50 { AA, 88, 44, AJs+, Qd6d, 9d8d, AJo } But I'm not a fan of calling all in when there is little money in the pot and we only have TPSK. |
