Well this is the first Jets game this season that I didn't watch so I can't really give a good opinion. But you have argued with me in the past and you know I don't care about stats, I just care about how many points the offense puts up. And 20 is looking pretty good right now considering what I've been seeing the past few weeks.

EDIT: Where have you been the past few weeks to defend your boy? Not trying to be a prick, I'm asking as a valid question since you are so pro-Pennington and almost everyone here has been bashing him the past few weeks.

Why is the run defense so much worse this year than last?

Last year it wasn't great either, but this year it's pathetic.

Is Ellis playing much worse? I know Vilma was injured, but there's got to be more to it than that.

Is it even worse than last year? 2006 DVOA had the Jets dead last in run defense. After yesterday's debacle defending the run I'm sure we'll be ranked dead last so far through 2007 too.

You are right though, our run defense hasn't improved at all.

We've lost 5 games by 7 points or less. 2 of our other losses were by 10 points or less. Watching this team is maddening.

Jets O had 13 points and 330 yards in a little over 4 quarters.

This was not a good performance. You can prefer having him in there because of long term plans that's fine. But acting like he's doing better than Chad is very ignorant.

I have been on the road for the past month or so. I still think Chad is the better QB(nothing against Clemens, I think he can be very good, but it's hard to be a rookie and better than a top 10 QB), but I don't really have a problem with Clemens in now that they're 1 and a billion and have the youngest team in the NFL with no chance for this year.

42 pass attempts with horrible completion% and barely 200 yards just isn't good.

I didn't see the game but from what I heard, the offense didn't look too frustrating.

in clemens defense, coles didnt play, and washington has a fairly solid defense. However, the run blocking is atrocious and really needs to improve. The defense played pretty well man to man, but then again washington doesnt throw the ball. I dont think anything even needs to be said about stopping the run...
