Tough flush flop decision
$100 NL FR (right forum?), Hero (been playing about 35/25/10 for the last hour but just switched gear to TAG a few hands ago) is at the button with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] with $80.
UTG folds, Villain (32/8/3 after 40 hands) UTG+1 with $34 openlimps, fold to the button, Hero at the button raises to $4.50. Blinds fold, villain cold calls OOP. Flop: 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Villain checks, Hero bets $10.50, Villain raises to $29.50 and is all-in. Hero... ? Looks like a marginal decision really. What do you guys think? |

Re: Tough flush flop decision
top up your buy in
call in a flash (not only are you ahead of a tight villain's range, but villain is short) also, there's a FR forum |

Re: Tough flush flop decision
32 VPIP isn't exactly tight for a FR table, now is it? The villain probably has a spade which alone would make him only a slight underdog.
I'm only a real favorite against a TT-KK, 88, 66, 55, 44, 22 with no spade, or a complete bluff such as A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]x or KQ with no spade I'm dead to 33, 77, 99, A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]x[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (remember he's a 32 VPIP on a full table) underdog to JT with one spade... |

"32 VPIP isn't exactly tight for a FR table"
I was referring to this particular situation.Short stack is going to shove so many hands here that to assume he flopped a flush or even a set is giving him way to much credit i think.I expect to have the best hand here and be at least a slight fav most of the time as the money goes in. |

Re: Tough flush flop decision
Thanks for the comments... I called, he had pocket 8's with one [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] and I ended up winning the race.
