OT - Bones doesn\'t know **** about music
as some of you already know, Bones and I live together. No, marriage is not in the cards, so don't ask.
Bones and I will sit and play online poker in my living room and listen to music - usually from my iPod of over 5000 songs. Now, bones does know a little about music, but as he will admit he only knows mainstream stuff. Which is cool. And he knows and likes some older stuff like GNR, Pink Floyd and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. But then some music comes and that he doesn't know and I'm flabbergasted. So we have a multi-million dollar prop bet going that a majority of this forum's posters will not know these three songs: are there people around who really don't know these songs? Now I'm not saying they're the best songs ever made but they are fairly iconic and popular. At least, that's what I thought!

What's the definition of knowing a song?
Like, if you heard it you'd recognize it? Or based on those titles, you could sing the chorus or humm the tune or something?

Plus there are about 12345897230495872345 songs I recognize as "hey, that's that song that goes blah blah blah" but I don't feel like I really know it.

i just learned yesterday that sting was in the police. i always wondered how sting got popular.
i'm 24 and only knew the meatloaf one. just downloaded b52s and pretenders, these could be some of the worst songs i've ever heard in my life.

I'm 28 and know all 3.
If you don't know at least 2/3 of them then you have been living in a cave or are 12.
