Default Smallish pot, smallish hand, but I think I [censored] up every street.

Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.50/$1 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter)

SB: $128.00
BB: $209.60
UTG: $100.00
MP: $126.45
Hero (CO): $104.10
BTN: $44.30

Reads: Have a note from a while ago that he donks with a wide range of hands, he's 34/3 over a smallish amount and he seems pretty bad overall.

Preflop: Hero is dealt 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (6 Players)
2 folds, Hero raises to $4.00, BTN calls $4.00, SB calls $3.50, BB folds

Preflop: Really standard for me, I suppose I didn't [censored] this street up.

Flop: ($13) 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 Players)
SB bets $6.00, Hero raises to $17.00, BTN folds, SB calls $11.00

Flop: According to my note, he donks with a lot of hands, so I raise to isolate (BTN is weak/tight, folds to cbet way too often), is this standard? I raised small because I was folding to a shove, but when he called I put him on something weak.

Turn: ($47) 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players)
SB bets $10.00, Hero calls $10.00

Turn: He bets 1/5 pot.. I don't know what to make of this but I just called because I felt my hand was good, but I suppose he could have a 4, he could have 98, or something else that beats me.

River: ($67) K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players)
SB bets $27.00, Hero calls $27.00

River: He bets less than half the pot, so I feel I'm obliged to call even though I split or lose a lot unless he turns an 8 or a draw into a bluff.. which I think he does enough for me to call here.. right?

why are you not raising turn, that is a big mistake IMO, if you are going to raise the flop you have to raise the turn

I don't see why you think you played it wrong. I would have done same on flop, but just maybe to about $21 or so. With his tiny turn bet I am not sure what he has, and I don't think I could fold on any street here.

I think the turn is still an auto raise. This is like never a 4 anyways vs opponent described and there are obviously lots of draws that you can get some value out of. His turn bet is a classic blocking bet by a weak player with the attempt to rep a 4. If he had you beat on the flop he would probably either 3 bet or c/r you on the turn.

River bet is definitely wierd. I definitely call but I doubt you are winning. I'd actually expect to see a random king here (K9, Kcxc) often.

That turn bet a puzzler. The turn bet size makes it look like he floated the flop with a 4 and wants to keep you in the hand. I have seen plenty of bad players take a weak stab at a pot OOP but they almost always give up on the river. If it's me I'm calling down too because of the size of the bet and because I think I'm only beat by A4 offsuit in his range, but not terribly shocked when villan tables it.

This is probably how I would've played it. I hate having to call on the river...but I think I'd have to call :P
