Turn is bet/fold. As played checking river is fine.

How nitty is nitty?

Villain's tendencies make it hard to get much value, but chances are he is peeling a flush draw, mid pocket that doesn't believe, or a set. 68s is a possibility, but that doesn't sound very nitty.

Given this likely range I think it's better to bet the turn, about the size that villain bet. You can fold to a raise easily, and you don't let villain draw for free. There are few better hands in his range, so even though it's hard to get value from a nit you aren't taking a very big risk either. My plan after that is to c/f anything but a queen river if villain calls.
