Re: Stars 1/2 KK
Ian, knowing this is against TopDog1, it certainly isn't an "easy" fold but i think a fold is inline, the only hand that u can beat would be QQ and would he really be slamming that river for 1 more bet if that were the case....

Re: Stars 1/2 KK
He doesn't cap pf w/QQ? I would think JJ/TT would be possible as well (leaning a lot more towards JJ).

Re: Stars 1/2 KK
Whad up Ian!
I don't play this high, but heres my two cents. I would prob fold. given his tightness i would have to rule out any pair 10's up thinking he would've capped preflop. so the only hands you can beat are 88 and 99. he either has a set or a straight. |

Re: Stars 1/2 KK
I call the river like every time. You just see enough QQ's and lower imo.

Re: Stars 1/2 KK
I know TopDog and it is definitely possible he would not cap QQ preflop here. 13-1 on the river....has to be enough.

[/ QUOTE ] Absolutely should have called. Without going into who this guy is, I can say that he plays poker for fun and does think hard about the game, though his thought process is off sometimes. This is not uncommon for high-limit players who are out for fun. It's important to not overanalyze hands like this, and just to close your eyes and keep calling down. It gets the money. This is a very interesting hand because people get way too caught up in thinking that everyone else thinks like they do. In fact this is not even close to reality (even among regular posters on this board). Sometimes you can never know what your opponent was thinking, but it is important to remember that they aren't looking at things the same way you are. |
