Default Why I always end up dropping back down...

100NL – 6max

I have $100, mostly everyone covers. Table has been fairly loose, lots of action. Don’t have hand history so some actions might be off, but the important stuff is right.

I’m UTG+1 with 45s. UTG limps, I make it $5. CO calls, Button folds, SB calls, BB calls, UTG calls.

Flop ($26) 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
Checked to CO who makes it $5, BB calls, folds to me.

What’s my plan for flop and turn? I think I should have led out to begin with.

PF fine.

Raise to $40. Push most blank turns. I also don't know why you don't bet this flop ($23+).

You raised with a speculative hand in order to disguise said hand when it hits the flop hard. Which you've done in this case. And then you... check?

Especially w/the two clubs on board and 97 people in the pot, you need to lead at this flop.

Lead flop for close to pot. Is limping after the limper ok if you think there isn't too much chance of a raise?

Agreed about leading out.

If you rasie to $40 and get a caller, what do you do if a club or 9 fall and caller pushes.

Thanks.

open for a larger-than-usual c-bet and probably get it in if reraised because of the high liklihood of draws and overpairs

as played reraise the pot and push the turn

If a 9 falls obv your hand is not good most times and it is an easy fold

A club would depend on reads... without them, I would lean towards a call

On preflop, I limp or fold this. Playing SC's from EP is difficult. I want to see a cheap flop.

Flop - Lead and hopefully get it all in on the flop.

I believe in El D's rule. If you can beat AA on the flop, it's OK to get it all in.

If a club comes on the turn, slow down.

If you're having trouble at NL100, simplify your game. Tighten up a little more preflop and play SC's only from late. Try to minimize the marginal situations.

Should have lead out, to diguse your hand. MM raise for value to 40 on the flop...
if turn comes a blank.. bet 3/4 of the pot..
if turn comes a club..check behind.. and c/c the river?
