Words from my Accountant...

My accountant told me today that if the site never sent me a 1099, then I shouldn't even bother paying income taxes. This was coming from professionalized accountants who knew NOTHING about ONLINE POKER. They said the most likely cause of me not recieving a 1099 is because the sites are probably illegal. They said if you win money gambling at horsetracks or in vegas, you receive 1099's. What is everyone's thoughts?

what kind of dumb rule is this.. all income that does not come attached to a 1099 is excluded from income??? income from illegal activities is still reported anyway.
