Video Cards That are cheapgood
I am making a new computer on a pretty tight budget around 1000 canadian. I just got a 24' dell monitor for $450. The rest of my computer is (running XP)
Cool Master Mid-Tower - 49.99 Gigabyte GA-MA69VM - 70.99 AMD 64 X2 4400+ - 97.99 OCZ 800mhz 2GB - 59.99 Hitachi 320GB - 77.99 So I need to get a cheap good video card. Basically all I want to be able to do is play Counter Strike Source at High graphics level. I've basically narrowed it down to three different cards: XFX GeForce 8600GT 540Mhz) 256MB (1.4Ghz) -- 126.99 http://www.canadacomputers.com/index.php...cid=999.243.390 -------or-------- Sapphire ATI Radeon X1950 GT 256MB - 128.99 http://www.canadacomputers.com/index.php...cid=999.243.272 So I don't know what to do, Do i go with the Geforce or the ATI? I also heard that ATI works better with an AMD processor, might just be a rumour. also the Geforce has Dx10 support but since i only really want to play one game that isn't Dx10 it shouldn't matter right? Any help/recommendations would be awsome...thanks a lot. (i live in canada and can't use newegg.com oh and i was planning on buying this today) warrant |
