Villian is 48/25/4, but no other notes. Seems like he has a worse A here.

Not that I'm a good NL player or anything but how come I feel like not raising the flop here is a pretty big mistake?

Read-less, I would have raised on the flop.

My logic was to keep the pot small with only one pair. Flop is pretty dry in any case.

By the same line of logic, why aren't you raising the turn? Given the PT numbers, I like the flat call behind on the flop and then raise a weak lead on the turn. I'm just not letting him get to the fifth card cheap.

I dont think we have to worry about keeping the pot small. I say raise the flop.

villain seems pretty bad, id get the most money in by river and see a ragged aces very often, bad luck if he made two pair by then.. but I would rather get the money in while were very likely ahead..

reraise flop!
