I wouldn't give up yet, end of session is a very chaotic time in legislative bodies and reporting a low order priority bill like this one is not likely to be at the top of anyone's list. Wait a few days for a definitive answer to come out, if someone actually was quoting vote totals in the Senate and House then there has been definite action on it and the reporting mechanisms could be lagging.

Looks like The Comish and ZPinhead were correct, the bill apparently did not pass.

I called the very same "legislative hotline" that I called yesterday and was told today it didn't pass. In fact, it didn't even get out of committee hearings. Looks like it will be another year until this comes around again.

Edit: Initially the gal I talked to refered to the bill as "dead", but then she went back on that, saying "well, I can't say it 'died', but..."

From what I read it was a typo and was supposed to be for bill 1343 (Vehicle Registration bill) instead of the bill 1243 (Washington Gambling bill).

Indeed, the vote totals now showing for 1343 match the vote totals that 1243 was alleged to have.
